"Camp Kigali is one of the locations for the CHOGM, and we shuttered the camp to provide them time to prepare," an official of Health Ministry told The New Times.

Furthermore, he said that Gikondo RBC will be operating and offering PCR testing, for example, when individuals go to nations that need PCR tests, among other things. While the Antigen Rapid Test will be done at different health institutions.

Camp Kigali will host the Commonwealth Business Forum from June 21 to 23, the first and biggest in-person meeting of Commonwealth governments and companies since the Covid-19 outbreak began.

Kigali Convention Centre, Internet Conference Arena, Kigali Marriott Hotel, M-HOTEL, and Serena Hotel are some of the other locations for various events.

This development follows the removal of the need to wear face masks in public as a precaution against Covid-19 on May 14.
