The number of people suffering from respiratory problems is rising amongst Kyrgyz residents in Bishkek. In a press conference at the Kabar Agency, General Hygienist Gulnara Sariyeva of the Department of Disease Prevention & State Sanitary & Epidemiological Surveillance of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic said this.

It is her belief that the state of the environment directly impacts the health of people. “As a result, according to data from the National Statistical Committee, 217,211 cases of respiratory disorders were reported in 2021, up from 152,512 cases in 2020,” she stated.

The Department of Disease Prevention & State Sanitary & Epidemiological Surveillance categorizes respiratory disorders, visual disorders, nervous system disorders, diseases of the blood & circulatory systems, congenital malformations, & malignant cancers in different ways. The most common & recognized form of poisoning is the result of chronic, long-term exposure to dangerous environmental substances.
