For the first time in a long time, infected Indian returnees have been found in Jamunaha, near the Nepal-India border in Nepalgunj. Following the recent finding of three cases of COVID-19 among Indian returnees, the border region has been cautioned.

Three Indians returning from the districts of Jajarkot and Kalikot tested positive for COVID-19, according to Chiranjivi Gyawali, a lab technician at the Jamunaha border health station.

Following the finding of three COVID-19-infected persons, testing at the Nepal-India border has been enhanced, according to Gyawali. Three of the 63 samples tested positive for COVID-19, according to Gyawali.

COVID-19 was discovered in two women from Himachal Pradesh and one young man from Gadwal. All COVID-19 patients, according to the health bureau, had a five-day fever. COVID-19 vaccines were given to all sick persons. They have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Affected individuals are recommended to stay at home and seek a nearby health center if they experience discomfort or other health problems, according to Gyawali. The COVID-19 test at the Jamunaha border was halted due to the municipal election on May 13.

The extra incidences were discovered during the two days that COVID-19 testing was initiated. COVID-19 has been diagnosed in 1,306 people along the Jamunaha border.

The border zone has been strengthened as a result of the discovery of infection among Nepali citizens who have returned from India, according to Tej Oli, the Corona Focal Person for the Jamunaha border. “We’ve also increased our surveillance of India’s returnees,” Oli added.
