On Saturday, Brunei's vaccination rate for children aged five to eleven years old reached 80 percent, with 208 first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine given to children in this age range, increasing the overall coverage rate to 80.4 percent. (A total of 34,501 youngsters are present.)
Children in this age received a total of 1,155 second shots, bringing the total to 20,341. (47.4% of the total).
Brunei's population has received three doses of the vaccine, resulting in a 70.4 percent coverage rate.
The Sultanate uncovered 217 new Covid-19 instances yesterday, according to the minister, with 216 discovered through antigen rapid test screenings and one through 322 RT-PCR laboratory testing done in the previous 24 hours, bringing the country's total number of verified cases to 148,089.
The minister has declared 220 cases recovered, bringing the total number of cases recovered to 146,406.
There are 1,460 active cases, with four people requiring hospital treatment and 1,456 persons choosing to be isolated at home.
According to the ministry, one person in Category 4 requires respiratory help and is being closely monitored, while no cases in Category 5 require immediate attention.
