Almost one-third of the coronavirus vaccine doses stored in Slovenian warehouses will expire on October 1st. According to the country's National Institute of Public Health.

According to the Slovenian Press Agency, 1,707,120 doses of coronavirus vaccine are currently stored in Slovenian warehouses. Nearly 533 thousand of them will expire on October 1st. Slovenia, one of the EU's ten member states, has requested that contracts for Covid vaccine supply be modified.

The petition's signatories advocate for the termination of contracts with vaccine manufacturers if the drugs are no longer required for public health and epidemiology. It also suggests that the number of vaccine doses ordered be reduced in order to meet demand.
