According to a notification from the committee appointed for dealing with the pandemic, Oman stated on Sunday that all precautions intended to stop the spread of COVID-19 had been lifted in all locations and for all activities.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Reuters has counted 389,943 illnesses and 4,260 fatalities caused by a coronavirus in the sultanate.
Experts are concerned with this, as they feel that it is too early yet to abolish preventative measures due to Covid. They fear that this move by the Government of Oman might have a blowback effect. If this happens, the sultanate may go back to the pandemic level state, which is highly undesirable.
