In the midst of North Korea’s fight against its first acknowledged outbreak, Vice President Joe Biden stated that the regime has not reacted to an offer of COVID vaccines made by the United States.

According to reports from the country’s state media, approximately 2.5 million individuals in North Korea have become ill with a “fever,” and the country as a whole is currently under quarantine.

It is assumed to be especially susceptible because there are not many diagnostic options or vaccine supplies available for it.

During a press conference in South Korea, Mr. Biden made the announcement of the offer.

Mr. Biden stated this while making a joint appearance with the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk-yeol. “We have offered vaccines not only to North Korea but also to China, and we are prepared to do it promptly,” Mr. Biden added.

“There has been no answer,” he went on to say.
