New Oxygen producing plant inaugurated in Badakshan, will help Afghanistan to meet its oxygen demands.

In Badakhshan's northern province, a new medicinal oxygen production plant was opened, according to the provincial hospital on Monday.

The hospital claimed in a statement that the plant produces up to 1,000 oxygen balloons in 24 hours, delivering the oxygen required for the province's healthcare facilities.

As stated by the source, "the provincial hospital will no longer have an oxygen shortage", once the plant is up and running.

Several days ago, a medicinal oxygen-producing factory in the country's northern Baghlan region was purportedly inaugurated.

However, medical equipment or industrial facility is required to manufacture oxygen despite the fact that it is an important medication.

A scarcity of oxygen in many Afghan hospitals was blamed on the widespread distribution of COVID-19 across the nation.
