A 30-year-old man was diagnosed with monkeypox in Israel yesterday. This is the fifth victim of the disease, according to the Israeli Health Ministry.

At the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, a patient experienced monkeypox-like symptoms and the disease was confirmed after the diagnosis.

Monkeypox is a viral disease that gets transmitted from animals to humans. These symptoms, namely: fever, blistering rash, and enlarged lymph nodes are all symptoms of monkeypox.

After returning from a trip abroad or coming into contact with a monkeypox suspect, travelers should seek medical attention if they develop a fever and a blistering rash.
