Monday, the government declared that a negative COVID-19 test result is required 72 hours before departure.

10 days before their trip, Hajj and Umrah pilgrims are required to be vaccinated against the required diseases.

This year, pilgrims who were pregnant, traveling with children under the age of 5, or suffering from severe ailments were asked to delay their journeys. Similarly, lung infections were kept at bay.

The government suggests obtaining a coronavirus test 10 days after returning home.
