Nepal reports nine cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday

The number of active Covid-19 cases in Nepal rose to 96 on Tuesday, with nine people testing positive for the disease in the preceding twenty-four hours. The most recent infection count increased the national total to 979,140, but there were no deaths recorded today, thus the death toll remained at 11,952.

Meanwhile, with today's 13 discharges, the overall number of recovered coronavirus cases has risen to 967,091. According to the most recent data from the Ministry of Health, a total of 3,047 tests were performed in the last 24 hours, comprising 2,085 PCR tests and 962 antigen tests. 

To date, a total of 5,703,008 PCR tests have been performed. Antigen tests have revealed a single positive case in the last twenty-four hours. In Nepal, the Covid-19 survival rate is 98.8 percent, with a 1.2 percent death rate. Nepal presently has no quarantine centers for individual patients.
