Myanmar reported 18 new instances of Covid-19 on Saturday night, bringing the total number of cases to 613,298.

In the previous 24 hours, 7,417 people were tested for Covid-19, with a daily positivity rate of 0.24 percent, according to the Ministry of Health.

In the previous 24 hours, no new Covid-19 deaths have been reported, bringing the total death toll to 19,434.

According to ministry data, the total number of patients in the South-East Asian countries who have recovered with Covid-19 has risen to 592,264, with three more recoveries.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar stated on Saturday that a new batch of 5.42 million Covid-19 vaccination needles delivered by China had arrived in Yangon.

According to the embassy, China's most recent shipment of 10 million Covid-19 vaccine doses and 13 million Covid-19 vaccination syringes to Myanmar arrived in Yangon in many batches.
