The Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced five further deaths due to COVID-19. Two senior males, an elderly woman, and two middle-aged men were among the victims. To date, 3,943 people have died as a result of the infection.
All of the victims, except one, had a range of ailments. Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, neurological conditions, hematological sickness, and cancer were among the comorbidities present.
More than 96 people have been identified as carriers of COVID-19, which was discovered in tests obtained between June 3 and 5. Since the outbreak began, a total of 162,945 people have been impacted.
There have also been 150,789 recoveries, 10 of whom have just been freed from public healthcare institutions, and 233 people who have been released from home quarantine. 752,897 people were tested by the government and private sectors. At the moment, 161 people are hospitalized, with no transitional care facilities.
