People over the age of 50 and health care providers can receive an immunization (with documentation showing employment status), according to government policy.

The municipality has already started the third booster jab application for teenagers between the ages of 12 and 17 on Friday, June 10, 2022.

The vaccine candidate groups are hosted by the Center's Basic Health Unit (UBS) and by the Department of Health's headquarters in Timbaúva. Between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., shots are given at a gas station in Ramiro Barcelos.

The vaccination will take place in the Secretariat between 8 a.m. and 12 midday, followed by another session from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Healthcare providers must show documentation of their identity before entering the venue.

The main goal of a vaccination is to strengthen the body's immune system against coronavirus, according to Nicole Ternes, the head of the Immunization sector.

“It's critical that individuals get vaccinated because Covid-19 is still circulating and the shot is the greatest form of protection against it,” she emphasizes.

This vaccine may also be given at the same time as Covid-19. The flu shot is being offered at the Secretariat and all health centers.
