THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE is responsible for ensuring that anti-COVID-19 devices and essential medical supplies are imported to carry out COVID-19 prevention, control, and treatment activities. Importing goods is done through trading posts, international airports, and seaports.

Yesterday, a company situated in the Chinshwehaw Border trade camp was in charge of importing 61.5 metric tonnes of masks.

Officials from the various agencies engaged in the import process collaborate to simplify and speed up standard operating procedures.

The Ministry of Commerce, according to reports, is working with other important ministries to address COVID-19. Inquiries should be sent to the Ministry of Commerce’s website, www.commerce.gov.mm.
