There is no evidence that monkeypox is present in the 34-year-old guy who developed a rash on his upper body and face, according to the health ministry on Wednesday.

Once admitted to Paphos, the patient was transferred to Nicosia for more testing.

The 34-year-old will be tested for monkeypox by experts in Nicosia. A fever, aches, and a bumpy rash are all symptoms of monkeypox.

Unlike smallpox, the West African strain is less severe. The vast majority of patients recover within two to four weeks.
