Liberian Foundation takes on the burden of medical expenses for patients who cannot afford it

The Thomas Foundation saved the lives of 70-year-old Sonnie Degay and others who had been spending upwards of $5,000 in medical bills over the course of a single weekend. 

"I regularly used to pay L$5,000 or more to visit the hospitals, but thank Goodness for the presence of Michael Thomas again for free medical care," Degay said.

"The drugs and therapy we received came at no cost to us.  We will be voting for him". said  Kormasa Mulbah,a beneficiary of the program. 

The recipients, who included elderly people, pregnant women, as well as children, were all included. All of them were served between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and the evening.

According to Michael Thomas, the foundation's executive director, the Thomas Foundation is a not-for-profit humanitarian organization that has made a difference in the lives of people in County District #4 of Montserrado and beyond.

We've been running this Mobile Clinic for a year or two now." There are already in excess of 1,200 people receiving care at Gilva's Soul Clinic Community as a result of the program, according to Thomas. A basic social service in our region is the provision of free medicines in the field of health care.

Aside from medication, this charity offers a vocational school and a financing program, among other things.

Beginning at 6:00 am, tickets were given out to those who qualified for operations. The medication, as well as treatment, was praised by many patients.

"I've never seen anything like this in my whole life," Tracy, a longtime local, remarked.  

The Chairman of the Community made the suggestion that services be held in the church. The medical service helped both churchgoers and the general public.

"It's free; no one had to pay anything for it. Apostle Joshua Pratt, the church's founder, and overseer expressed his gratitude for the services he could provide on behalf of the congregation and the community. "Kaymah Town will be the next region to receive the next service."

Malaria, typhoid, diabetes, and a variety of other ailments are all addressed by the organization. The medical team has qualified nurses, doctors as well as lab technicians.
