Her Majesty, ‘Masenate Mohato Seeso, the queen of Lesotho, attended the Menstrual Health and Hygiene Forum and welcomed its convening. She identified the obstacles and challenges that girls and women in Lesotho face regarding menstruation and called for a unified approach to be taken by all stakeholders of the forum so that more ground can be covered in the shortest possible time.
Her Majesty the Queen is a recognized champion of Menstrual Health which she reaffirmed in her speech yesterday. She came down hard upon “talk shops” which speak a lot on menstrual health but fail to implement any of the solutions they speak of. Saying that action was preferred to rhetoric as the need of the hour, Queen Masenate let it be known that the good health of all girls was what she hoped for and that this subject was close to her heart.
