Kamla Harris Government Invests $6m For Healthcare And Women Empowerment: Guatemala

In Her Hands, a private-sector effort to inspire, educate, and protect women in northern Central America and around the Western World, was launched today by Pro Mujer, Vp Kamala Harris, and the Alliance for Latin America.

In Guatemala, the company established an office to improve its financial participation and career opportunities in a nation with the 4th largest rate of women pursuing business in the world (Statista, 2020).

Pro Mujer will lead to a new Women's Investment Promotion action plan, In Her Hands, which seeks to boost financial education, access to online knowledge and capabilities, and enhance women within the entrepreneurship world in the Northern Triangle, as part of its efforts to broadening its impact on society in the area.

Invested $6 million, allowing the organization to provide micro finance tools, abilities and entrepreneurial possibilities, and healthcare and well-being programs to almost 25,000 people.
