An Indian delegation which was headed by Vice President M Venkiah Naidu just concluded a visit to Gabon and Senegal. According to the press release, the visit was extremely fruitful, resulting in bulwarking the relationship that India shares with Gabon and Senegal. 

Sectors under discussion were Health, trade, culture, as well as agriculture. 

The delegation from India has completed the visit to Gabon and is now en route to Qatar, which happens to be the final leg of the three nation tour. 

Dr. Bharti Pawar is a part of the delegation and she said that the talks with Gabon happened at a high and intellectual level, with both countries recognizing the benefits of working together in areas of health. These talks strengthened the bilateral relationship between Gabon and India. 

In another statement, Dr. Pawar said that many Indian Pharma companies had set up shop in Gabon, and that the leadership in Gabon was interested in more such pharma firms to do business in Gabon. 

The leadership of Gabon thanked India for its support in the times of Covid with medicine, vaccines and provision of medical equipment.

India also signed two MoU’s in gabon which further underlined the friendliness of the two nations.
