India saw a slight decrease in COVID-19 cases on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with 2,706 new infections reported in the preceding 24 hours.

India recorded 2,828 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

As a result, 17,698 open cases, or 0.04 percent of all illnesses, are currently open.

The optimism rate is 0.58 percent on a weekly basis and 0.97 percent on a daily basis.

2,070 persons have been found in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of people found to 4,26,13,440. The recovery rate is currently at 98.74 percent.

The death toll has grown to 5,24,611 persons, according to the health ministry, with 25 people dying in the last 24 hours.

India conducted 2,78,267 COVID tests in the preceding 24 hours. COVID tests have been performed 85 billion times so far.

Meanwhile, 193.31 crore vaccine doses have been administered as part of the nationwide immunisation campaign.
