According to health ministry data released today, COVID-19 active cases in India have reduced to 14,832. Yesterday, 14,955 active cases were recorded.

In the previous 24 hours, India has seen 2,022 new cases of the novel coronavirus, with 46 people dying as a result of the infection. According to data issued by the Union Health Ministry on Monday (May 23), the country saw 2,099 discharges in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to 98.75% and total recoveries to 4,25,99,102.

Active cases make about 0.03 percent of all infections, according to the government. Today, the country’s total death toll is 5,24,459. In March 2020, the first death from the COVID epidemic was reported in India.

As of May 22, 84,70,92,226 samples had been tested for COVID-19, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). 2,94,812 of these samples were evaluated on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the municipal health department of Delhi recorded 365 new COVID-19 cases and one more fatality on Sunday, with a positive rate of 1.97 percent.

With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi has increased to 19,03,554, with a total of 26,201 deaths. According to the department’s most recent report, 18,543 COVID-19 tests were performed the day before in the nation’s capital.

On Saturday, 479 COVID-19 cases were reported in Delhi, with a positive rate of 2.06% and one death.
