The system is advocating for state appropriations and a Governor's Grant to support its operations and continue providing critical care services at its three safety-net hospitals: Bayonne Medical Center, Christ Hospital in Jersey City, and Hoboken University Medical Center. These hospitals play a vital role in delivering quality, patient-focused healthcare in Hudson County.

In addition to seeking state funding, CarePoint Health is also exploring a unique merger opportunity with Hudson Regional Hospital. This proposed merger aims to strengthen both the financial position of CarePoint and the quality of patient care and outcomes. Recently, CarePoint Health announced plans to team up with Hudson Regional Hospital to form Hudson Health System. However, the New Jersey Department of Health has appointed a financial monitor to CarePoint’s three hospitals, creating uncertainty about the future of this merger.
