As the number of Covid-19  positive cases in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and other cities continues to rise, the Dharwad district administration is doing all possible to prevent the illness from spreading throughout the district.

Patients with colds, coughs, ILI, or SARI-like symptoms should have swabs taken and RT-PCR assays done at PHCs, taluk clinics, and district hospitals.

A total of 700 swabs are collected and sent for testing every day. In the Dharwad district, Covid positivity is now 0%.

According to Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde, "Department of Health and Human Services officials have been placed on high alert. The hospitals are equipped with everything they need, plus oxygen, beds, and ambulances. It will be easier to control Covid's spread in urban areas if we have effectively managed its spread at the PHC level."
