The first step into entrepreneurship

The Story of How Medriva Came to Be

A lot has happened in the lead-up to launching Medriva. In fact, Gurbaksh Chahal’s entrepreneurial story began back in 1999, when he was just 16 years old.

From a young age, he dreamt of pursuing a career in the dot-com boom. In 1999, using the money from his second-hand printer selling high school side hustle, he dropped out of school to set up ClickAgents. Within 18 months, the one-of-its-kind ad network, that focused on performance-based advertising, was flourishing and began to capture the interest of investors. ValueClick, a NASDAQ company, bought ClickAgents from Chahal for an impressive $40 million.

Four years later, Chahal founded his second company, BlueLithium. The company focused on data, optimization, and analytics and became a pioneer in behavioral targeting. BlueLithium was named one of the top 100 private companies in America for three years in a row by AlwaysOn.

In 2006 BlueLithium went on to receive the highest honor as the Top Innovator of the Year – previous winners in this category included Google, Skype, and

On September 4th, 2007, Yahoo! announced it had acquired BlueLithium for $300 million in cash.

By 2009, Chahal went on to create his third company, RadiumOne, which quickly grew to become one of the fastest programmatic platforms leveraging social data from around the Web. RadiumOne was acquired in 2017 by RhythmOne, a public company on the London Stock Exchange.

The company

Continuing The Dream

Chahal founded RedLotus in 2019, a company that helps brands and enterprises automate their operations by utilizing Chahal’s new patented rapid pattern recognition technology.

Just a year later, ProcureNet was born. Chahal is the founder, Chairman and CEO of this fast-growing unicorn company. The platform was curated out of a need to shape up the way manufacturing and technology work together, to create a more efficient process that worked to greatly benefit buyers, end users, and manufacturing communities.

ProcureNet enables government authorities, international organizations and large businesses to connect to an advanced, pre-approved manufacturing network capable of producing highly sought-after commodities at rapid speed and scale. Because of this, ProcureNet has had a crucial part to play in providing humanitarian aid to support COVID-19 and Ukrainian disaster relief efforts.

Through ProcureNet, Chahal and the team have set up the Humanitarian Support Resource Center, which connects with NGOs and government agencies to manufacture and distribute life-saving supplies across the world.

The ProcureNet’s platform has directly enabled Medriva to manufacture over 1 billion AD syringes needed to make up for the 2.2 billion global syringe shortage.
