As of today, the 1st of June, the precautionary measure in Greece that required people to wear masks against Covid-19 is no longer in effect.

The waiver will remain in effect until the 15th of September, 2022, at which point it is anticipated that a fresh judgment will be made based on epidemiological evidence.

The wearing of masks at retail establishments and food markets has been discontinued effective immediately.

Additionally, the requirement to wear a face mask in public transportation, such as buses and trains that travel between cities, is no longer in effect.

In healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and public transportation, people are still required to wear masks to protect themselves from the COVID virus.
