From Thursday, foreigners and Egyptian travellers can now enter the country without facing any Covid-19-linked restrictions.
According to a statement from Egyptian cabinet spokesperson, Nader Saad, the Supreme Committee of Egypt overseeing the Epidemiology and Health Pandemic Crisis management made the decision based on Egypt’s Covid-19 situation in relation to what is happening everywhere else.
The government has made about 86.6 million vaccine vials and a further 4.5 million booster jabs available for everyone. The statement also reveals that about 57.5 million jabs are reserved for the continuation of vaccination drives.
Egypt’s health ministry also made eight hundred DNA reagents available for Monkeypox infection detection. Also, there are stringent protocols for the quarantine of animals arriving in Egypt from other countries.
