"In the last few weeks, there seems to be a steady paycheck in all infectious disease indicators, as well as an additional decline in the number of hospitalized people," the Health Ministry said. "This raises the need to revise and update protective measures to contain Covid-19, with the goal of increasing personal accountability and consciousness among residents for compliance with personal protection measures."

In April, before of the summer season, Cyprus lifted some limitations imposed as a result of Covid-19.

After a two-year period without tourists, finally tourism is expected to pick-up.

Since April 18, visitors to Cyprus have been able to enter the country without needing to show a Cyprus Flight Ticket or a traveler location form, both of which were previously required travel documents.

At the same time, the classification of travelers based on the epidemiological situation of their home countries has been removed, indicating that travelers will be subject to requirements depending on their vaccination status.
