COVID vaccination is progressing in Africa

COVID vaccination progress in Africa: Increase in fully vaccinated population and priority countries for support program. Africa has seen an increase in the percentage of people fully vaccinated, with six countries showing significant improvement. Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, and Sierra Leone have made substantial progress in their vaccination efforts. These countries are prioritized for support through the multi-partner country support team program, as well as the worldwide COVID-19 Vaccine Delivery Partnership.

The percentage of people fully vaccinated in Africa climbed from 13% in March 2022 to 14.3% on April 30, 2022.

Six of the twenty countries with fewer than ten percent of their population fully vaccinated in the beginning of 2022 have improved, with more than 15% of their population fully vaccinated. 

Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, and Sierra Leone are the countries which have massivly increased their vaccination count in the last three months.

The above countires are among the priority ones for the multi-partner country support team program, as well as the worldwide COVID-19 Vaccine Delivery Partnership (Sierra Leone).
