To perform the Hajj in Saudi Arabia, pilgrims from all over the world must pass a COVID test at least 72 hours before leaving their home countries, according to the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). A new set of instructions has been published in light of recent changes to the policy guideline on the coronavirus test for Hajj pilgrims.

The Saudi aviation authorities have informed PIA and other airlines of the newly implemented policy guidelines. Pilgrims must be vaccinated against coronavirus three days and a half (72 hours) before departure, according to the revised policy guidelines.

The Saudi officials had previously specified a deadline of 48 hours. Infractions of the COVID policy guidelines will result in legal action being taken per the Saudi Ministry of Health's laws. It is important to note that pilgrims visiting Saudi Arabia must be under the age of 65.
