COVID infections spiked by 551 cases in Namibia

The newly infected include some 21 hospital workers, 129 school kids, 17 students and 16 teachers.

The data was disclosed by the Health Minister Kalumbi Shangula.



"These infections were reported from 12 regions, with more infected still being reported from the Khomas region,” he reported.

The good news, which the Shangula also reported is that there have been no death caused by the coronavirus and already some 84 infected have been cured. Sadly 73 COVID-infected-citizens have been hospitalised. Five of these are in bad condition and have been placed under intensive care.

Cured: 157 502



Currently ill: 2 164



Passed away: 4 031



Citizens who have been vaccinated: 414 672.
