The latest weekly bulletin covering the Covid situation released by the ARS shows that in Martinique, 5,344 new Covid cases were reported in one week.
In Martinique, the spread of the Covid virus is not decreasing. While screening data suggest a small decrease, the rate of incidence remained stable. However, the weekly positivity rate increased by 2.1 percentage points over the previous week, reaching 32.2% for the week of May 23-29.
The situation was constant at the hospital level for the last week of April. Adult emergency visits remained relatively flat as of May 31. The number of new patients being accepted to all services was halted. Currently,29 patients are in the hospital, including four that require immediate critical care.
In medico-social institutions, the health and well-being of patients are carefully observed in clusters.
