The number of COVID-19 cases in Russia increased by 3,785 in a single day, reaching 18,301,393 as of Tuesday, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis centre. This was the lowest absolute growth rate since April 16, 2020. In relative terms, the rate of increase reached 0.02 per cent.


In Russia, as many as 2,466 people were hospitalised with COVID-19 the day before, nearly double the previous day's total. The number of hospitalised patients climbed in 77 locations while decreasing to four. Four other regions' conditions remained unchanged. The day prior, 775 people were taken to hospitals.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Moscow increased by 172 the day before, from 229 to 2,768,577, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis centre. The COVID-19 instances in St. Petersburg climbed by 304 the previous day, from 307 to 1,527,533.

COVID-19 recoveries in Russia increased by 6,352 in the last day, reaching 17,700,372, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis centre on Tuesday.

The percentage of hospitalised patients who have been discharged has risen to 96.7 per cent of those impacted. The day before, 5,117 individuals were rescued.

COVID-19 death rate

According to the anti-coronavirus crisis centre, the number of COVID-19-related deaths in Russia increased by 90 on Tuesday, bringing the total to 378,516. The previous day, 76 COVID-19-related deaths were reported. According to the crisis centre, the average death rate remained at 2.07 per cent.
