Deputy Minister of Education- U Zaw Win, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council- Dr Maung Maung Naing, Union Minister of Education- Dr Nyunt Pe, Union Minister of Health- Dr Thet Khaing Win, and other officials paid a visit to No 5 Basic Education High School in Zabuthiri Township and No 18 Basic Education High School in Dekkhinathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw the past morning.

During the visits, Union ministers and party members observed instructors and students engaged in joyful and peaceful study, and they assisted with the school-based COVID-19 vaccination of students aged 5 to 12, which was carried out with the assistance of officials and health workers.

Dr. Maung Maung Naing, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, also paid visits to students at Pyinmana Township’s No. 1 Basic Education High School, Pobbathiri Township’s No. 3 Basic Education High School, and Ottarathiri Township’s No. 12 Basic Education High School, where he distributed masks and vaccination instructions.

In the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, there are now 190,200 students registered in 28 monastic schools, 757 simple education schools, and 57 private schools. 109,682 children aged 5 to 12 would be immunised against COVID-19, according to sources.
