UNV and UNICEF in Sinoe County of Liberia, in collaboration with the SCHT as well as the World Health Organization (WHO) were invited by an oil palm company in order to teach and sensitize their workers upon the importance of taking COVID-19 vaccines. During this meet, the officials from WHO also shared important information on the measles outbreak that is currently running amok in Liberia.

Sensitization programs like these are much needed in places like Liberia where public knowledge and awareness of the coronavirus are lamentably low. With more programs, there will be increased rates of vaccinations, which will slowly immunize the population and keep COVID-19 at bay.
