Fifth Wave Affects Schools in Namibia; School Closures Are a Thing of the Past. As the nation enters yet another wave of the continuing Covid-19 epidemic, 129 learners have now tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend, and the number is believed to have climbed over the course of the week. This comes as the country enters yet another phase of the pandemic.

Sanet Steenkamp, who serves as the executive director of the Ministry of Education, has disclosed this information. Steenkamp stated that the ministry of education has gained a tremendous amount of experience in the management of these cases due to the fact that Covid-19 has caused major disruptions within a variety of sectors, including the ministry of education for the past two years. As a result, the ministry does not intend to close schools as was the case in the past.
