Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda, made this observation while speaking at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in 2022. He noted that the COVID-19 epidemic continues to be active in several nations. "As of this moment, just 18 percent of the adult population on the African continent has received all of their vaccinations." According to him, the primary cause of this is a deficiency in the capability of detecting viruses and administering vaccines.

"Investing in health systems and regional agencies like the African Centers for Disease Control and the African Medicines Agency should be a top focus." We have no choice but to take action in the full knowledge that there will inevitably be another epidemic.
