In Malaysia, more than 33% of children have had all of their vaccines

As of Sunday, 1,166,385 children aged 5 to 11 had completed the National Covid-19 Immunization Programme for Children (PICKids), accounting for 32.9 percent of the country's children.

As per the CovidNow website, 1,714,171 children have received at least one Covid-19 vaccination shot, accounting for 48.3 percent of the total population.

A total of 2,913,093 persons (93.6%) have completed the vaccination, with 3,009,604 people (96.7%) receiving one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Simultaneously, 16,094,258 adults (68.4%) have got the booster shot, while 22,974,281 individuals (97.6%) have completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccination and 23,250,933 adults (98.8%) have received one dose.

A total of 10,883 immunization doses were given a day before, including 5,172 first doses, 4,709-second doses, and 1,002 booster doses, increasing the number of vaccine doses provided under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 70,908,659.

According to the Health Ministry's GitHub website, 5 Covid deaths were recorded yesterday, two in Sarawak and one each in Perak, Perlis, and Selangor.
