More than a hundred Hong Kong bars have been fined for failing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, according to a report in the South China Morning Post.

Infections linked to bars and clubs in the city's main nightlife district grew on Friday, with 499 new cases, including 49 imported ones, reported.

As of this writing, 1,214,192 cases have been confirmed and 9,382 people have died.
