Even though the Sinopharm vaccine, which protects against COVID-19, is already being administered to island residents, citizens of the Comoros Islands are now required to get immunized against the virus. Despite this, the nation’s overall performance is currently much higher than the benchmarks specified in the nation’s purpose.

This is a good sign to be optimistic about. President Azali Assoumani’s rule has been described as autocratic by critics. In December, he issued a presidential decree mandating that all children be immunized against diseases that could have been averted with immunizations.

The decision mandated that all youngsters be immunized against primary COVID-19. The diseases that were circulating were measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough, and COVID-91. But, right now, the nation’s main goal is to eradicate and bring down the number of Covid cases among its people.
