According to Myanmar's Ministry of Health, 20 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's total number of cases to 613,280 on Friday.

In the previous 24 hours, 8,921 people were tested for COVID-19, with a daily positivity rate of 0.22 percent, according to the ministry.

The death toll from COVID-19 in the country has remained stable at 19,434 according to the ministry's estimations, with no new deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

According to estimates from the ministry, the total number of COVID-19 patients who recovered in the country reached 592,261 on Friday, with 17 more patients recovering in the last 24 hours.

The first COVID-19 infections were detected in the Southeast Asian country in March 2020.
