Cambodia has reasons to be hopeful in their fight against Covid-19 pandemic. For over a week, the country has not registered any new cases of Covid-19. The Cambodian Ministry of Health (MoH) reported that there have been zero new cases and no new deaths. As of June 18, 2022, Cambodia had recorded 136,262 cases with 133,206 recoveries.

Credit for this good news goes to the tireless efforts and leadership offered by the government. The ‘Blossom Strategy’, vaccination campaign was a success, and the country was able to reopen in November 2021, stated Or Vandine, the head of the national Covid-19 vaccination program and spokesperson of the MoH secretary of State.
