In a significant move, Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has signed a $75 million deal to be the new kit sponsor for two professional soccer teams, Real Salt Lake and the Utah Royals. The eight-year deal, one of the most substantial sports team sponsorships by a health system, will spotlight Intermountain Health's name on the sleeves of the teams' jerseys, and Select Health, its insurance arm, on the front.

The partnership is worth between $9 million and $10 million annually, a testament to the high stakes and substantial investment Intermountain Health is making in the realm of professional sports. As part of the agreement, Intermountain Health will also serve as the official medical provider for both teams, providing medical care for players, coaches, and academy athletes. This dual role ensures that Intermountain Health's presence will be felt on and off the field, with its brands prominently displayed at both America First Field and the Zions Bank Training Center.

The new jerseys will feature a blue mountain silhouette, symbolizing the state of Utah, besides the logos of Intermountain Health and Select Health.
