Brunei has reported 344 new cases of Covid-19

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam now stands at 150,402 after the addition of 344 new cases. There were 338 cases from antigen rapid testing (ARTs) and six cases from 296 RT-PCR laboratory tests in the last 24 hours.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar said this at yesterday's daily press conference.

According to the minister, no patients in Category 5 require treatment in an intensive care unit, but three patients in Category 4 require respiratory assistance and are being closely monitored.

In the meantime, 242 more instances have been discovered, bringing the total number of cases recovered to 148,069.

On Saturday, 241 first doses and 1,263 second doses of the Covid-19 vaccination were given to children aged five to eleven, according to Dr Mohd Isham.

The proportion of first-dose vaccines given to this age group has climbed to 82.3 percent, whereas the proportion of second-dose vaccines given to this age group has increased to 56.3 percent.

Seventy-one percent of the country's inhabitants and residents have gotten three doses of the vaccination. There are currently 2,110 cases in the country, with 11 being treated in hospitals and 2,099 being self-isolated at home.
