Brazil Panics: Experts Say Something Is “Fishy”

According to a survey conducted by Abrams, a medical organization, the percentage of COVID tests performed in private laboratories has increased by three times over the last month. The information was made public on Thursday.

From April 23rd to 21st May, the number of COVID-positive cases increased from 10% to 29%.

The tendency can be understood, according to Milva Pagano, Abramed's executive director, by the fact that some people are only testing themselves after displaying symptoms of COVID infection.

Brazil witnessed a hike of approx 15000 daily cases to nearby 18000 daily cases from the beginning of the month till the present, Avg of fresh mortality numbers almost remain stable.

Experts believe that there is something fishy going on as the reported cases aren’t as high as they estimated.
