According to Sabha Medical Center, nine patients of Chadian nationality were admitted to the hospital on Wednesday in severe condition after being injured in armed conflicts in Chad.

“On Wednesday morning, the emergency room was congested with foreigners who had been injured in conflicts near the Chadian border in the Kri area,” the center confirmed.

According to the medical staff at the center, the injuries ranged from wounds to fractures, but some had dropped from a large height.

Sources in the region disputed that the skirmishes were actually occurring on Libyan soil or that the hostilities were being carried out by a local armed organization.

Some media reports reported that the clashes between both the Tabu and Mahamid clans in Libya had place near the Chadian-Libyan border, however this was disputed by sources from both countries both sides.
