It was revealed today that starting on May 20, 2022, persons ages 12 to 17 would be able to receive an optional COVID-19 booster shot every nine months after the end from their last booster injection.
People between the ages of 12 and 17 are entitled to take the additional second booster dosage as per the Taskforce’s recommendations.
Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be used as second booster injection, and the second doses of the vaccination as the very first booster shot. Persons in this age group are eligible for the second dose which is optional after a period of six months after date of infection and a period of nine months post the first shot of the booster dose.
