The Angolan Health Minister, Silvia Lutucuta on Monday announced that the province of Huila has been successful in containing and wiping out the epidemics of cholera and polio. She said that there were no registered cases of these two viruses in the last two years. This is a commendable achievement for a country like Angola which has to deal with severe poverty, malnourishment and more recently, the COVID-19 pandemic that raged across the world, sparing no nation.
