Earlier this week, the United States of America, in a partnership with Gavi, managed to deliver 1.2 million COVID-19 vaccination doses to the countries of Angola, Benin, Guinea as well as Lesotho.

Of the 1.2 million vaccine doses, Angola received 418,860 doses of COVAX, while the rest of the doses were distributed among the other three countries.

Angola will benefit from these vaccines as its vaccination rate has not been good, partly due to a shortage of vaccines and also because of the political turmoil within the country of late.
