The bulletin shows that by June 12, 109.3% (240,234) of the eligible general population (people aged ≥ 18 years old who did not identify themselves as belonging to the priority groups defined in the National Plan for Introduction and Vaccination against COVID-19) 19) were vaccinated.
As for adolescents, as of June 12, 46,176 (85.9% of the estimated population) were vaccinated with one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 38,407 (71.4%) were fully vaccinated.
For the booster dose, the bulletin indicates that up to 12 June, nationwide, a total of 81,867 (25.1%) booster doses had already been applied to adults. It should be noted that the COVID-19 vaccination campaign started in March 2021 following a national plan for the introduction of vaccination against COVID-19, published in B.O. no 19, on February 18, 2021.
Given the increase in the number of cases in recent weeks, the Government approved on the 9th, at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, a resolution that approves the requirement for a valid COVID Certificate of vaccination with the third dose, for inter-island travel.
A valid COVID recovery certificate will be required, or a negative RT PCR test certificate performed within the previous 72 hours or antigen performed within the 48 hours before departure.
According to the latest data, the country currently has 937 active cases, 56880 recovered, 402 deaths, 43 deaths from other causes and 9 transferred, making a total of 58271 accumulated positive cases.
